The scandal of the stolen girls
The regretted reversal of liberation
The universal objectification of woman
The looming presence of our politics in the world
Always vindicated by the very best of good intentions
They sympathise with oppressed populations
But still they are loyal, mourning our boys -
Unemployed, enlisted, sacrificed
